We've all been there. It can be hard to self-motivate.
I've tried the get up earlier each day to get focused on routine thing. And the daily To Do list as well.
But I've found when I keep it simple, it works best.
Not overwhelming yourself with tasks, restrictions, and too big of goals is my best way to actually accomplish as much as I do.
So allow me to share my top 3 things that help me get closer to my goals and make me feel like a better version of myself every day.
#1 - Know Yourself
Everyone is unique, and what works for one person doesn't necessarily work for another.
To start, answer these questions - What are you really good at? Who are you really? What nourishes and excites you?
The better you know yourself, the better you can create situations and life experiences that make you truly happy.
ACTION: Write down all the things you’re good at. And the things that bring a smile to your face. Do more of these things. Every day.
#2 - Decide What You Really Want
You know all those things you should do? Let's do the things that you really want to do first.
This is a great way to get focused on what is important to you.
Sure, everyone has their daily chores and work that needs to get done. But making time to do something that nourishes your soul makes your day feel more worthwhile and gets you closer to your own goals.
ACTION: Write down your BE, DO & HAVE dream list for the next 12 months. Revisit this list often.
#3 - Learn The Power Of NO
That's right. You can say NO.
That can be a difficult thing for many people to realize.
In our busy world, many of us over-commit to appease other people in our life.
Say YES to things that make your heart happy. Say MAYBE to something that interests you, but may require your time or a commitment. Say NO to things that don't bring a smile to your face.
ACTION: Saying NO takes practice. Try saying NO to something 3 times this week.
It seems pretty easy, right?
You'd be surprised how good it feels to follow these 3 little things.
I'd love to hear your feedback! Did you take ACTION? How did this experience go for you?
Be good to yourself!™
